What is DHT?
The Food and Drug Administration has identified the natural body chemical called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) as a main cause of hair loss. This chemical is produced from testosterone and appears to act as a signal to hair follicles to stop producing hair and begins to cause the slow degeneration of the hair follicle.
Men and women experience hair loss due to hormones in the body. DHT or Dihydrotestosterone is responsible for 95% of hair loss. People that produce more DHT than others are genetically pre-disposed to hair loss. When DHT reaches hair follicles it tends to prevent nutrients from reaching hair follicles. It's important to have the proper nutrition, such as our Nutricap, to maintain hair health.
